Just for the sake of discussion ...I see your point. Just for the sake of discussion though, there's always a time and a place for each type of clothing. Can you imagine Coco Chanel for example crawling on the floor backstage, doing final checks on hems for her couture pieces? Oh you don't wear couture to do dressing. Same goes for all particular clothing types.

In this sense, can you imagine Maria Daskalaki all dressed up in this type of clothes doing fittings? Backstage-wear has to be comfy-wear, unless you can afford dressers to do your fittings and you deal only with keeping yourself in tact for the bow.Alecca Roxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07366294327880405231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-99328385514252568.post-15803026925241458432009-04-09T13:29:00.000-07:002009-04-09T13:29:00.000-07:00Yes, but think of Galliano and his extravagant one...Yes, but think of Galliano and his extravagant one-man-show every time! And, for a more down-to-earth example, remember Frida Karadima at last October's fashion week, who came out at the end wearing the exact same fluo pink/lime heels her models were presenting. I loved that detail, because it really showed that her clothes/shoes/whatever are actually to be worn and not just for the show. Just my opinion, though!Lopihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18038737717663165340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-99328385514252568.post-44596704537645421922009-04-09T09:09:00.000-07:002009-04-09T09:09:00.000-07:00bondage wooooooooo!xx-LJ from SOS!bondage wooooooooo!
xx-LJ from SOS!SOS!https://www.blogger.com/profile/04119773014683462349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-99328385514252568.post-37619494729542876482009-04-09T05:08:00.000-07:002009-04-09T05:08:00.000-07:00(excuse the typos, i'm typing too fast:S)(excuse the typos, i'm typing too fast:S)Alecca Roxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07366294327880405231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-99328385514252568.post-14460271359679769662009-04-09T05:06:00.000-07:002009-04-09T05:06:00.000-07:00Good or bad, it is her taste and I respect that. I...Good or bad, it is her taste and I respect that. I just wanted to have the choice of whether I want to watch something like this or not, that's all...

As far as designers' bow are concerned, that's a very particular moment and maybe I should post about it seperately. In general, keep in mind that the more casual and unprepared they come out to greet, the more they have focused on preparing and styling their show backstage instead of making themselves gorgeous for the cameras.

At that time, the star should be the collection and not the designer*. Think about it;)

*Miuccia Prada always looks a mess and she's got my respect for that. It means she is really working backstage...xAlecca Roxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07366294327880405231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-99328385514252568.post-41448245815788196052009-04-09T01:52:00.000-07:002009-04-09T01:52:00.000-07:00This just screams bad taste and bad manners. What'...This just screams bad taste and bad manners.
What's even more irritating? The designer came out in the end in a plain white t-shirt and jeans. I hate it when a designer shows one style and wears a totally different one. How inconsistent with her "vision".Lopihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18038737717663165340noreply@blogger.com
