Greece is for lovers. It is.

Ok, lost for words. Pyrocks is a mosquito coil ring developed by Greece is for Lovers for a fragrance range by Korres Cosmetics. Should it go in production, I predict rocket sales at open air summer cinemas. It most likely won't. A bunch of other rather tasteful products/impossible souvenirs have though and are available at their renovated eshop section.
*they ship to almost anywhere.

Ring a bow

New ring. No seriously, it's a ring.
I have a thing for gift-bows thus this was a yei upon sight - even though I am not a rings person. It's another one of my Sugarline Productions treasures, all glossy-fied, covered by liquid glass.
Came in many colours but I went for gold. Once slid on my finger some irony effect hit me and I just had to have it. Sugarline Productions will be participating at the Synch version of the MeetMarket starting tomorrow*

*I heard you have to be a Synch ticket holder to enter the area so keep it in mind.

Tell a Story - Kores

KOres (Greek for 'daughters' and not KorEs, as in the Greek cosmetics giant, Korres) is Yianna Karvela. Last TaS was the first time I ever came across her work but something tells me it won't be the last. It was all split into three categories, steel creations, rubber and liquid glass. Everything was handmade by her and it was not the complexity, but the simplicity of the designs that captured me. Dear objects like our childhood crayons, kites, hearts, jigsaw puzzle pieces and scissors were all there, miniature and detailed, turned into easy-to-wear accessories. Yianna blogs too so if you like what you see here, here's the source for more: http://kores3.blogspot.com/ .
Yianna is also good at staying in touch. She has just informed me of her next public showcasing, at Cabaret Voltaire's 'Bizarre Bazaar' - Sat 20th to Sun 21st of March. For info and directions, click on the images below.

Meet the Cat

More Tell a Story: Exquisite accessories by Meet the Cat. Had never thought of a zip like this before. All this work and creativity put into necklaces, rings and bracelets, had me trying stuff on and off for quite a while! Sad they were only display samples, it was love at first sight...

Thanks Daisy Chain

The ring I got from Laura aka Daisy Chain has just arrived, complete with a sweet 'thank you' card. It is ever so cute, was here in no time and it's a perfect fit (tiny fingers, still I could adjust it if I had to).

Thanks Daisy Chain, it's fab!

Post Valentine's :P

A post-Valentine's post? Am I for real? :)
Well it wasn't planned, but I had to show you the (hillllaaarious) video that ensured I had a painless pass through February the 14th as a single. Besides, that 50% off it mentions at the end sent me straight to the s/market today, I've stocked up enough heart-shaped chocolate to make it to the next v-day.

Oh and this is agnes b. special edition perrier bottle, thought it was cute but had no excuse to post it till...well, now. (speaking of agnes b. spring collection was quite cute)

Precious ring given to me with true love by friend and fellow blogger (as of today!) Clementine Melroy. Precious, 'cause to me it's emotionally charged. Otherwise it was bought at Jumbo (toy store). And the blog award goes to:Clemmie. Like I said, she only did her first post today but she's a like minded soul and I know this new blog is gonna be fabulous. Be nice now and say hi;)
*Clem dear, accept when ready. Instructions here.
(4 awards to go. what a tag!)
(coming up next...outfit details - the verdict:))

Passage to India

According to this report I was reading on style.com earlier today, "Inspired by a book about the jewels of the rajas, Peter Som took a "Passage to India" for Resort (2009) (...) mixing tweed and an abstracted paisley print—could be worn as easily with a brightly colored chiffon wrap dress (...)".

Bingo! I've been reading a book about India too -well actually, a woman who went to India- which has me hooked from page one and I am so in the mood for wearing paisley. No extrvaganzas though, I don't want to look as if I threw on a granny's sofa cover. How do you feel about paisley these days?

I came across this dress of mine by Mango, which admitedly has not had the attention it deserved in the past. Here's what I am wearing tonight, a tribute to Peter Som's inspiration and Elizabeth Gilbert's trip...

dress & belt: Mango
boots: Annelleshoes (Filonos)
bangle: Topshop
rings: Miss Selfridge (or was it Topshop?)
sheer tights: random!
book: Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
