Celebrity Skin in colour

Celebrity Skin featured at the spring issue of Press The Fashion Magazine, Ottawa. The real news though is... colour as the signature palette of the past collections has been grayscale to nude. Looking good in fluo.

Celebrity Skin @ 9th AXDW - show leaks

Celebrity Skin's a/w 11 collection, DRAmaTIC-DISclipiNE, will be unveiled on the catwalk today, at 19:30. I am being informed that it's all ready and set. Here's some exclusive extra bits of info on what will take place:

- Apart from Eleonora Zouganeli, Ada Livitsanou, Isaia Matiaba, Penelope Anastasopoulou and Alexis Foukos who all star on the fashion film scheduled to open the show, Antigoni Psichrami and Alexandra Palaiologou complete the team of 7 celebrities to model on the catwalk.

- The soundtrack will be Daft Punk in remix.

- The models will march in especially created helmets, made by interior designer Andrea Manta.

- Models' feet will be walking on Dexim whereas the 7 celebrities will be wearing shoes by Room 69.

- The show consists of 32 outfits and will kick off with a men's.

Celebrity Skin previous winner - the dress

Never had the chance to show you before, but with Celebrity Skin's new show approaching and the invites competition at large (see here) now seems about right.

Ladies and gents, this is Alexandra from Inspiration Partout, my beautiful winner from previous competition, wearing made-to-measure Celebrity Skin.

Celebrity Skin - AXDW show & invites

Here's a peep from 'DRAmaTIC DISclipiNE', Celebrity Skin's a/w 11 collection to be presented at Athens Xclusive Designers Week shortly. Save the date: Monday, March 21st at 19.30.

It's going to be dramatic alright, with theatrical signature shapes revisited and applied on wool and synthetic fabrics, styled with saturated add-ons, all in disciplined shades of black and ash grey.

Scheduled to begin with a fashion film of approximately 6 minutes by Nectarios Karolos Papazacharias, starring 10 models as well as Eleonora Zouganeli, Ada Livitsanou, Isaia Matiaba, Penelope Anastasopoulou and Alexis Foukos. It's meant to be a visualization of Sinead O'Connor's song 'Troy', featuring people that pose a source of inspiration to designer duo Dimitris Strepkos and Eleni Barla for being "effortless style icons".

These pets know fashion

They were born to do the catwalk and they are style watchdogs by nature. Here are some precious pets that know fashion best!
Avant Garde - Dimitris Strepkos cat and face of Celebrity Skin. Adores to be styled and Celebrity Skin adore to style her. Their atelier is her playground.
Oscar - Celebrity make-up artist Thanos Molos' dog. Very well behaved, watches Thanos do his magic with love and admiration. Pretty sure he'd only bark at the sight of bad make-up.
Cohen - One of Pavlina Papailiopoulou's 'babies', keeping her company every step of the Ippolito bags design process. He recently posed next to her for Vimadonna magazine, proud of her great collection.
Jarvis - Pavlina Papailiopoulou's second 'boy', who's actually looking for a bride these days. Click on link for details as well as example of the ideal mate! He's had his share of publicity too, on the pages of Lifo free press.
Nila - Zoe K.'s aka Stripes'n'Buttons sweetheart, featuring a Stripes'n'Buttons fleece cloak made especially for her. Friendly and cuddly with heart-breaking 'puppy eyes' ability when next to the dinner table.
Mushi - Responsible for one half of designer duo Akira Mushi's name, who I once managed to introduce to you as a cat(!) Guards owner Anna Petrides and the collection with his life.
Aleksandros - Found his way to buldoza.gr headquarters as a puppy and never left. Even though he knows exciting stuff is going on inside, he is very discreet and never walks in. Afterall the buldoza.gr team who love him to bits made him his own house and often take breaks to go out and play with him. Keeps suggesting they should add pet gadgets to their catalogue.
Miu - ok Miu is mine. Apart from adoring herself in the mirror she's also got a thing for shoes. Likes noisy shopping bags. Usually wears real fur (her own of course). Moulimon - Miu's offspring which I just couldn't let go of. She's one for real fur too. Eats broccoli. Appreciates my knitting:)

NOTE: Never ever make your pet wear something it's not happy with. Some of the pets in this post grew up between fabrics and strings and actually like to be wrapped in them. This doesn't mean they perceive fashion they way we do, so ...ask them first!

Carnival - Celebrity Skin

Celebrity Skin's costumes for ooh! la! la! performance are the stars of their first fashion video themed 'Carnival'. The clip, created by Nectario Karolos Papazacharias, is also a taste of CS's shoot for Fiasco magazine, soon to be released. Hit play, this is good stuff.

Art.code and director Yannis Vlachoyannis have got a... kinky fairytale to tell! They are determined to make you say it. Ooh! la! la! is a theatre comedy for grown up kids, full of clever lines where cinderella meets girl next door, mod's hair goes wild on actors' hair colour, Celebrity Skin do what they know best: 13 conceptual costumes for stage. Starting this Sunday, November 28th and ticket is set at 12 euros including first drink. Leaving you with Fenia Lambropoulou's behind the scenes photo from poster's official shoot:
