Olga Mergou is presenting her anti-crisis series at WhiteBox on November 27th and promises a strong dose of anti-crisis management. Olga, you had us at hello:)

Female Desires @ TAF

Tuesday evening will be quite interesting at TAF, you may want to stop by around 21:00. TAF (The Art Foundation) presents the exhibition 'Female Desires' in collaboration with the Whitebox team of designers, hosting the homonymous fashion performance by Eva Pyr. Each of the usual rooms will be decorated by a designer, reflecting a type of woman of their choice. The participating actresses will then bring those women to life, projecting their desires whilst mingling with the crowd.

The exhibition will be open till May 25th.

Athens, I Love/Hate You

I'm not this excited about all my purchases. It was meant to happen when I stopped at Anna Economou's corner at Whitebox the other day. A bag is a very personal choice, it's a tool as well as a statement. This one had it all to the max: enough space to fit all of my personal stuff and a loud and clear message "I Love Hate Athens". My feelings exactly about this city I spend my days and nights at. Crazy. Mental. Carefree. Careless...

It is very well made and produced in very small numbers. Moreover I met the maker who shared about the theme: "I decided to make this series of bags whilst travelling. There are 'Love this city' and 'Love that city' bags everywhere, except Athens. Maybe because us living here have this love/hate relationship with it... The sewing is in capital letters and kinda angry, intense, full of passion. It's on purpose."

All I can say is that I am very passionate about this bag right now.

Glammed up

It was no secret: Fashion Paths (Christiana, left, own clothes), Life in Athens (Thalia, centre, trying "the gadget") and The Soho Symposium (Hari K, right, wearing Gaffer & Fluf vest pluriel) were Whitebox' guests of honour for the night. The girls arrived there "plain Janes", fresh and naturally gorgeous, and let themselves at the hands of professional stylists on the spot. The result? Wonderful makeovers in no time!

Beautiful Inside & Out

It's nice when events like this one take place on a beautiful, sunny Sunday in the heart of November. "Beautiful Inside & Out" was organised by and hosted at the Whitebox Headquarters in central Athens (Praxitelous 26) and was all about tips to make your inner self as well as your appearence, pretty and serene.

Munchies, sweets, coffee, tea & wine, all played their part in keeping my inner self particularly happy and content too;)

A lively, mainly girlie crowd mingling and buzzing all day among unique clothes, accessories and their creators.

Amazing Whitebox see-through poof seat, stuffed with toys, fabric left-overs, even shoes. Nothing goes to waste!

Face exercise presentation. Our face is full of small muscles that deserve a good work-out. Keep them fit and they will keep you young-looking for longer.

Make-up presentation by pro make-up artist Georgia Kotsiopoulou. To get it right for a night out or a photo-shoot, you need about an hour to cover any imperfections and transform your face into a piece of art. Fifteen minutes should be enough for the basics in the morning though!
