Mickey galore

Winter sales in Greece have been set to begin officially on January the 15th, so right before windows turn into percentage boards, here's a last one from the holiday season that's just over. Stenia store, Glyfada. Mickey Mouse is not exactly the headliner cartoon of this generation of kiddos, however it makes quite an impression cloned and placed this way. And it's a classic. *Penguins in pearls caught my eye too.

All Saints Singer

All Saints Spitalfields paid a tribute to Singer sewing machines for holidays. Thousands of them, orderly piling at their stores windows, on both sides of the Atlantic. It's machines like this* that turn pieces of fabric into clothes, someone had to honor them!
*newer versions of them, these are clearly vintage, sacred monsters. Speaking of which, someone has a perfectly working one and makes a point that it's not gonna end up at one of these displays as it's still happily stitching away at home!

The Chanel doily

Chanel London Christmas windows. Clearly based on traditional Christmas tables, doylies take over. Coco dolls are dressed with the traditional Christmas colours too, white, red and green. Actually, it's Chanel's international theme for the holiday season since Dubai's windows look the same at 3dbyd.com.

Selfridges windows & the kid inside you

A friend send me some photos from London windows. They are fun, I'm sharing. Selfridges windows inspired by George Bernard Shaw’s quote ‘We don’t stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing’. Nice reminder.

SHOP xmas windows

Based on the charity cause of the ornament SHOP created to support the MSF, voila the store's Christmas windows. Imposing wings featuring images of children in need, the ornament-jewel on the neck of the mannequins and a different meaning for the acronym AIDS - 'Angelic Initiative Deserves Support'. (currently at Ermou str., Athens)

Xmas chez Notos Galleries Piraeus

If this was a home, I'd crash it for Christmas easily. So much effort put in this window, captivating details and a Santa that actually snores (sorry for the lack of audio) at children's bedroom.

Xmas chez Attrattivo Piraeus

Aaand back to xmas windows. Greek brand Attrattivo has been doing some rather tasteful logo custom made windows lately. Its xmas version asks Santa for extra chocolate, shamelessly declares it ate his cookies and features a tree decorated with own brand choco-bars. As snapped in Piraeus:

Miss Sixty's xmas windows

If you are a fellow window shopping junky, it's the time of the year you can sing halleluja and walk for your fix: xmas windows are on. Here's what the 'Xmas Window Kit' for Miss Sixty looks like, as captured in Glyfada:
(That last bit is an oversize fringe clutch that caught my eye, xmas decs aside)

Merry Xmas to you too guys - more merry windows coming soon.

Oversize bobbins chez LAK Piraeus

More crafts-inspired decorations at shop windows. This time it's the LAK store in Piraeus, taken over by enormous bobbins. The neoclassical building it's all hosted at significantly adds to the biggger picture.

FF Thought #12

There must be so many boutiques I've never walked in in Athens. This one I came across because there was a very rare... parking spot right outside it at Anthimou Gazi street. Obviously a very old tailor shop, with six digit phone number still at the window. And a half price sign. There must be so many boutiques I've never walked in in Athens.
