Finally, on Monday, January 17th, the first Fashion Business Forum will take place in Athens. Organised by Boussias Conferences, this is a rather interesting event for all fashion insiders as some of today's hottest industry matters will be under the spotlight:
"Is the luxury fashion business model broken?"
"What are the current consumer trends?"
"What are the challenges in fashion retail and online shopping?"
"Online Fashion - E-Commerce, Publishing, Social Media and Multi-Channel"
to name a few - just take a look at the schedule.
Expect no fashion shows. However, it's the outcome of a fashion forum that makes a show sell best. And apparently, the attendance fee is symbolic compared to the amount a company would have to pay elsewhere to hear this strong international line-up share their expertise:
Colin McDowell - Sunday Times, Senior Fashion Writer
William Plane - Investment Banker, Savigny Partners
Tim Jackson - London College of Fashion Professor
Pascal Bollon - Gfk Retail & Technology, Global Director
Leon Bailey Green - Drapers magazine, Online consultant
Yannis Tseklenis - Greek designer, when active, he saw his collections sell around the world for nearly two decades.
If you are part of the fashion industry, I'd expect you've already filled this application to attend. If not, Friday is the last day to do so.
For updates prior to, as well as on the day of the forum, be sure to follow boussias_conf on twitter.
