Cavalli ss09

So. Have you seen this yet? Cavalli advert for ss09.

1) If it wasn't for the enormous bling chain print, I'd have thought this is Versace's ghost from the '90s.

2) Hm. Is it me or it's a bit too much to style this shot with a necklace and bracelets? I think the print does all the accessorizing this dress will ever need.

3) Graphics designer was a man. No way would a woman hide those amazing shoes with the logo.

Impressive ad though. I like the shape and I like the movement of the fabric.

...Bit cheesy.

Larger than life.

...Bit boring?

Afff. cannot decide.

Happy weekend! x

Good call about the male graphics designer! The print should have been at the top of the photo, or underneath the dress / shoes, byt cutting up the photo it ruins the cut of the dress!

The advert itself? Very bling, very cheesy, very Cavalli. Though I normally snub Cavalli, I can't help notice that the twist braids worn by models for his S/S 08 campaign have been copied on the UK catwalks this year ... *gasp*

It is a little Versace indeed. Expect Gianni would have done it 100% better than Roberto does.

You are so right about the graphics designer! It isn't one of my favourite ads, a bit '90s as you said, but I do like the movement! Char x

Cavalli will always be Cavalli. The photography is pretty good, but the styling and the clothes will always be cheesy...

Glad to see your knit is progressing, though!
