I may have over-retouched the image of Stelios Koudounaris opening model, but I couldn't help it. It was perfect for game to my eyes, (im)posing there so strong and confident and marking the begining of what stayed in my memory as a very impressive, modern collection. Koudounaris is a Cypriot designer and this is his 5th personal collection, featuring the Cypriot "agrino" as a logo (see models' temporary tatoos). The press release talks about "rock and wild elegance that highlight's the woman's silhouette", "edgy proposals with a futuristic attitude", "modern minimal approach to femininity". I can see all of the above. The part that kept me particularly happy though, was that his collections are produced exclusively in Greece. I've already stated many times before in this blog, I am so for designers who produce in the country they are based in (economic reasons, ecologic reasons). Here's what my camera captured for you, check out backs, drapes and the use of the parachute-light black fabric:
The shoes were designed especially for the show by Stathis Mantas. Music composed by Manos Antoniades.
