AXDW - Gregory Morfi

The opening piece (above) along with the music, made clear of what was to follow at Cypriot designer's Gregory Morfi catwalk. Sounds of the joungle, long ponytail extentions and tribe-like bangles* overdose: Africa. The frills on a long dress were a hint too. The length was mainly kept close to the ground throughout the show, leopard prints on large fabric surfaces came and went between sets of vibrant natural colours like ocean blue, joungle green and soil brown, with golden touches spicing up the collection. An early 80's feel was strong design-wise, especially when jupmsuits with emphasized shoulders and loose pirate tops made their appearence. It was a strong show, even though the frill element tends to be difficult material for independent mass trending.

*bangles brought in mind this image. I thought they were hot!
